History of the VFW Men's Auxiliary

To aid in preserving the VFW motto of “honoring the dead by helping the living,” a plan to expand membership was launched. In August 2001, for the first time in its history, VFW members voted at a national convention to give posts the option of allowing men's auxiliaries.

Phillips-Kleiner VFW Post 5627 Men's Auxiliary received their charter on August 22, 2007.

Once you have filled out the application and gathered together the appropriate documentation (DD214's, etc.) you can either bring it down to the Post or drop it in the mail:

Our Mission

To aid and assist the Post with it's mission. Promoting patriotism through active involvement and interaction with Post Home membership and Post Home programs such as Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy.

Eligibility

Limited to husbands, widowers, fathers, grandfathers, sons, grandsons, brothers and half-brothers (who attain the status prior to age sixteen (16) of persons who were or are eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States). Men eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States shall not be eligible for membership in the Men's Auxiliary.
